Living within this setting allowed me to grow up with a genuine understanding of how to care for others and this sparked a passion for caring for people of all ages which has remained with me ever since. I have almost 20 years experience of providing care and I feel privileged to have been able to care for people of all ages. I have worked in care homes for the elderly and while my own children were younger I worked as a PA looking after children with disabilities on their transport to and from school. While I have loved both of these roles, I felt that I was not able to progress and provide the care service that I feel so passionate about. That is why I took the leap of faith 3 years ago to provide self employed care. Over the last 3 years I have been fortunate enough to be able to provide a range of care and companionship services to some wonderful people. I care for people in their own home and therefore, I am able to provide care and support that is tailored to the individual. This can be support with cooking, cleaning, shopping, outings etc as well as personal care. I pride myself on a friendly and professional support service which helps those I care for maintain their independence. I have experience in catheter care including weekly changing cleaning. I have experience in hosting,diabetes giving insoline. Also autism ADHD I enjoy cooking and baking so happy to make meals extra. I work Monday to Friday. my hourly rate covers expenses and mileage I also have business insurance on my car so happy to take clients out if needed. I would like to thank you for taking the time to read my profile. If you have any questions or would like to know more about how I may be able to offer support to you and your family please do not hesitate to contact me. {"field_week_day_first":1,"field_is_available_first":false,"field_care_type_first":"","field_week_day_second":2,"field_is_available_second":false,"field_care_type_second":"","field_week_day_third":3,"field_is_available_third":false,"field_care_type_third":"","field_week_day_fourth":4,"field_is_available_fourth":false,"field_care_type_fourth":"","field_week_day_fifth":5,"field_is_available_fifth":false,"field_care_type_fifth":"","field_week_day_sixth":6,"field_is_available_six":false,"field_care_type_sixth":"","field_week_day_seven":7,"field_is_available_seven":false,"field_care_type_seven":""}

Pe24 5AY 13080 Hello I’m a mother of 6 children, Nan to 9 grandchildren and 1 on the way. I choose care due to realising that was something that came natural to me as well as understanding, patience and enjoyment. I have experience in Dementia, and some complex care, however I’m willing and able to adapt and learn new sectors of care/complex care. I understand the need for confidentiality, privacy, respect, dignity and most important meeting the needs of individuals. I’m outgoing, very talkative, but will be quite when need to, and will have a sing along with anyone who likes to sing. Movies, diamond art, reading and spending time with family. For a few hours of hourly care I would prefer to stay close to home, if care is required for a full day I am willing to travel up to an hour from home. 1 1 {"field_week_day_first":1,"field_is_available_first":true,"field_care_type_first":"1","field_week_day_second":2,"field_is_available_second":true,"field_care_type_second":"1","field_week_day_third":3,"field_is_available_third":true,"field_care_type_third":"1","field_week_day_fourth":4,"field_is_available_fourth":true,"field_care_type_fourth":"1","field_week_day_fifth":5,"field_is_available_fifth":true,"field_care_type_fifth":"1","field_week_day_sixth":6,"field_is_available_six":true,"field_care_type_sixth":"1","field_week_day_seven":7,"field_is_available_seven":true,"field_care_type_seven":"1"}

PE13 4TQ 36459 I am passionate woman who likes to see positive outcomes in the lives of people whom l work with. I find joy in seeing that my work has made life easier for my clients within my social work role. I am currently supporting families to safeguard vulnerable children, however l am quite passionate about adult safeguarding and would like to specialise in adult social work in the future hence this experience will enable me to gain insight into the issues that affect our elderly community and will enhance my understanding and skills when interacting with them. One of my favourite quotes from Robin Sharma (and words to live by) are " let the beauty you love be what you do". This has motivated me to always remember that when l put passion in my work, it also shows through the positive results. I also believe that passion, accuracy, respect and inclusion together with resilience has the ability to safeguard the clients l work with. I am looking for clients that are more mobile and do not require hoisting. 1 2 {"field_week_day_first":1,"field_is_available_first":true,"field_care_type_first":"1, 4, 5","field_week_day_second":2,"field_is_available_second":false,"field_care_type_second":"","field_week_day_third":3,"field_is_available_third":false,"field_care_type_third":"","field_week_day_fourth":4,"field_is_available_fourth":false,"field_care_type_fourth":"","field_week_day_fifth":5,"field_is_available_fifth":false,"field_care_type_fifth":"","field_week_day_sixth":6,"field_is_available_six":true,"field_care_type_sixth":"1, 4, 5","field_week_day_seven":7,"field_is_available_seven":true,"field_care_type_seven":"1, 4, 5"}

PE317UD 204580 AVAILABILITY: SATURDAYS & SUNDAYS & Public Holidays in Norfolk Area I am taking a sabbatical from my nursing career and currently working as GP Admin. I have been a caregiver all my life, looking after family, friends and loved ones that fell ill. Current responsibilities in my role as caregiver is to provide full care to my clients in the comfort of their own home. Throughout my experience as a Registered Nurse/Midwife in South Africa, I always took great pride in providing the best evidenced-based care to my customers, clients and patients. I specialized in Neonatal Intensive Care for many years and although I am devoted to the new-borns, my other love is of the elderly. In my new role as carer, I find great joy in connecting with my client in a purposeful and meaningful way that brings about a great sense of fun and laughter, whether through creative outlets, or reading a war novel that is gripping and heart-wrenching page-turner, or an autobiography of David Attenborough (whom I love) and Janet Gooddall (‘My Life with the Chimpanzees’). I am currently reading a novel on true events by Kate Thompson ‘The Little Wartime Library’ to clients, and this has provided hours of entertainment, discussions and lots of memories shared. Cooking and baking is a favourite pastime, and together with my nursing skills, I am a valuable team member in any household. My personality traits would be considered confident, thoughtful, trustworthy, friendly, modest, humble, patient, empathetic, respectful, reliable and sensitive to the needs of others. My client’s daughter recently wrote this to me - ‘You were so important to my mum and I will always be grateful for the major role you had in keeping her safe and happy in the last months of her life’. 0 1 {"field_week_day_first":1,"field_is_available_first":false,"field_care_type_first":"0","field_week_day_second":2,"field_is_available_second":false,"field_care_type_second":"0","field_week_day_third":3,"field_is_available_third":false,"field_care_type_third":"0","field_week_day_fourth":4,"field_is_available_fourth":false,"field_care_type_fourth":"0","field_week_day_fifth":5,"field_is_available_fifth":true,"field_care_type_fifth":"0","field_week_day_sixth":6,"field_is_available_six":true,"field_care_type_sixth":"0","field_week_day_seven":7,"field_is_available_seven":true,"field_care_type_seven":"0"}

NG31 9RA 26010 I have had extensive experience of working in the Health Sector, for over 15 years. I have worked in hospitals, nursing homes, day centres and in private homes as a live in carer. Having such diverse exposure, I am someone who is confident in what I do when it comes to caring for people with different ailments. I have had experience and training to work with vulnerable adults, those who suffer from Alzheimers, Dementia, Parkinson's, Diabetes, just to mention a few. I am comfortable with offering personal care and assisting. I enjoy cooking and am capable of making wholesome meals (British meals such as shepherd's pie, casseroles, fishcakes, toad in the hole, apple crumble, just a few to mention) and willing to learn. My experience in dealing with various multi-agencies in the healthcare sector has ensured that the people I look after are getting the adequate help available for example liaising with the Occupational Health Workers for equipment that makes life manageable and restoring needed independence. To enhance my skill as a Carer, I attained a qualification in National Vocational Qualification in Health and Social Care Level 3. I also have a full driving licence, and a car is needed, which helps to make travelling to appointments or days out much easier. I have a good interpersonal skills and communication skills, am proficient in English Language and willing to learn new words in order to enrich communication. I am a genuinely patient and caring person who is good at putting other people's needs first and concerned about other people's welfare. This allows me to be able to put the needs and preferences of the person I will be caring for first and ensuring that their voice is heard whichever way possible. I have a dry sense of humour sometimes but I have the ability to remain professional at the same time. I enjoy watching TV, going out for walks and visiting garden centres, going through photos and listening to stories of memories that means something to someone, cooking and gardening. Although I do not have much exposure to pets, my experience of working with one client who had a dog, a friendly Cocker Spaniel made me to be open minded to the possibility of having a pet around me. I enjoy going to church when time and opportunity allows. My Christian values helps me to be a grounded, honest and to be a flexible person who is also open minded to the view that not everyone has to share same values with me and ability to respect that. This flexibility extended to other spheres as well, when its required. false
