LE67 8RE 56075 I have worked in care for the majority of my working life and the short time I wasn't working in care I was a customer service advisor. I've also been a respite carer for County Council for 18 years alongside my day jobs. I have worked in most areas of care and for the past nine years with complex clinical adults and children. I am a registered volunteer for the children's charity "Make a Wish" and for the past two years I have taken part in there DISNEY WISH event. I came runner up in Leicester Mercury palliative carer of the year in 2019 after being nominated by a family member of I lady I gave palliative care to. I have very good people skills, I'm calm and patient but am also bubbly and chatty. I'm trained in epilepsy, peg/NJ feeds, medication, rescue medication, airway management, suction, epilepsy, catheter care and challenging behaviour. I enjoy cooking all kinds of food but my speciality would have to be a Sunday roast or anything Italian. I love animals and I'm more than happy to work in a home that has pets. NVQ level 3 almost completed.

DE11 7EZ 298236 I think I am a great Care Professional because I am compassionate, patient, and dedicated to providing the best support to those in my care. I take the time to understand the needs and preferences of the person I’m assisting and aim to make their day comfortable, enjoyable, and fulfilling. A typical day for me as a Care Professional would start with a warm greeting and helping with any morning routines, such as getting dressed or preparing breakfast. Throughout the day, I ensure they stay active and engaged, whether it’s by going for a walk, enjoying a hobby, or having meaningful conversations. I’m also attentive to their health needs, ensuring medications are taken on time and meals are prepared with care. I strive to create a positive and supportive environment, treating every person with the respect and dignity they deserve. My goal is to make each day better and brighter for the individuals I care for.

DE6 3BQ 299518 I am a compassionate, dedicated individual who believes that every day offers an opportunity to bring joy, comfort, and a touch of creativity to those around me. My warm personality is complemented by a diverse set of hobbies that enrich my life and those I care for. I love curling up with a good book to explore new ideas, experimenting in the kitchen to create nourishing meals, enjoying peaceful walks that remind me to appreciate life’s simple pleasures, and engaging in board games that spark laughter and thoughtful conversation. Professionally, although I have been in care for less than a year back home and about three years here in the UK where I have worked in live in care, elderly supported living and domiciliary care in the community. My personal journey has deeply prepared me for this work. I have devoted myself to caring for a family member battling prostate cancer and early-stage dementia a role that has taught me resilience, empathy, and the profound impact of compassionate care. A day with me is filled with attentive listening, creative engagement, and a genuine desire to improve the quality of life for those around me, ensuring that each moment is met with kindness and thoughtful support. I am currently learning to drive and I anticipate to have this passed towards the end of the year. I am currently looking for live in clients as I enjoy delivering that one to one care, I am happy to travel throughout the UK as long as travelling expenses are covered one way by my clients. When starting with a new client I prefer to have a settling in period after this time I discuss with my client/clients family members the period of care I can safely deliver as this depends on the clients condition. On my time off I can also offer sleeping nights shifts within my local area of Ashbourne. I am happy to arrange a Curam video call where we can discuss you care requirements in more detail.

DE24 3BT 42861 For me working as a live-in carer (I would live in my client’s house and work for 4-5-6 weeks in a row then I take a break for 1-2 weeks) is an opportunity to help people live independent, helping them remain in their own home when they may not be able to look after themselves, provide support and remain dignity during all daily activities, protect them from any form of harm or abuse, risk assessment and evaluation to prevent any possible deterioration of their physical or mental health, promote of a positive environment in order to encourage independence for each individual. Ever since I remember myself I have worked with people, around people and caring for people. In my personal life experience I have spent 4 years looking after my mum due to cancer since a young age and for 7 years I was caring for my ex-partner who suffered from kidney failure. I became a carer in 2003. Worked in several residential homes and obtained my NVQ Qualification. I then took on a number of care related courses and training to support my personal development in care, like Moving and Handling, Risk Assessment, First Aid, Food Hygiene and many others. In the past years I helped a few of my disabled acquaintances as a volunteer as and when help was needed. In 2019 I have met absolutely wonderful elderly couple and for two years as a live-in carer I looked after all of their needs in a comfort of their own home. Both of them had moderate and then severe Dementia. We had a lot of fun together, enjoyed walking around Marina, made a BBQ in the summer and get ourselves warm with a lovely cup of tea at the Garden Centre on the cold days of the year. I have worked very closely with the couple’s GP surgery, nurses and other health professionals and authorities to keep this couple healthy, safe and comfortable at all times. I have looked after their medications, post, appointments, food shopping, cooking, house maintenance and laundry as well as every day personal care duties and organising special occasions for them too. During the past two years I have had the privilege to care for a Member of the Order of the British Empire, Mr A.,MBE - the most interesting and clever gentleman and his wife in their own stunning house surrounded by the magnificent and breathtaking views. When I met Mr A. in 2023 his memory and abilities were already affected by neurocognitive disorder. We have managed to remain and keep him in a positive and calm environment every day. As the mornings were the most active times, we had our “Fun Club” time before breakfast when we practiced to stimulate his memory, whistle, playing music or playing with words and making new words. Mr A. is a very content individual when it comes to music that is so important to him. Although he stopped playing piano himself, every time he listened to his music he just closed his eyes and immersed himself into a world on his own filled with music and life memories. I was taking on different house chores every week to keep the household running and participated in cooking meals, serving tables, making fire, food shopping, watering plants inside and in the garden, feeding birds, laundry and dealing with some DIY challenges and even bats in the house :) When I am back from work I love spending time with my family. We enjoy relaxing in the garden, going for a walk and travelling abroad. I am also a massive fan of crafting and could spend hours in my workshop. However lately we are concentrating on the interior of the house and thinking of decorating it soon.

ST17 9HW 106979 I've been a carer for 3 years now. I have experience with cerebral palsy, stroke, cancer, early stage dementia, parkinson, huntingdon, taking clients abroad, respite, hoisting etc. I can prepare healthy meals from scratch. I enjoy cooking wholesome traditional foods. Think one of my favourites is poached salmon. I'm happy to look after your cats. I'm a friendly person with a good sense of humour, a good listener and very honest and reliable. I believe I make a good carer because I am very patient and do not flap. I have done live in care but am happy to do domiciliary care in my area of Stafford although not able to work both ends of the day. Early mornings work well for me. I am looking for live in care work this can re regular or one work and I can accommodate 2/3 weeks on and 1/2 weeks off. During my down time from live in I am available for day time work in my area. I prefer to work with clients that are more mobile and do not require hoisting. When working as a live in carer I prefer cats however I am comfortable in having dogs around the house. I have access to my own car and I am fully covered for business car insurance, I am happy to transport clients to and from appointments and local travel as long as travelling expenses are covered by the client. I prefer not to have wheel chairs in and out of my car. I love swimming, watching tennis and cricket. I like to keep up with current affairs. I am a confident driver with either manual or automatic cars. I enjoy making a difference to someone's life, perhaps this could be you?
