I love my work and making a difference in people's lives. I have specialised in palliative care in the community for over ten years and have a wealth of experience working with clients who have a dementia diagnosis.
I have worked with disabled adults, young children and teenagers, which included some with autism, muscular dystrophy, and other more complex or genetic conditions. I have also been involved in rehabilitation work with both physical and ex-offenders who have psychiatric conditions. I have worked for many years with the elderly, including two years of specialised EMI care. Additionally, I have served as a senior carer in various settings and managed home care for a private firm for two years as a domiciliary care consultant. While palliative and elderly care is my main area of expertise, I enjoy working with people of all ages and apply a person-centred approach to my work.
I cherish meeting so many individuals and building relationships with them. I have been fortunate enough to work with patients across a broad age range, my youngest being four years old and my oldest being 103! I have worked through registered businesses as well as privately, in institutional settings, and have many years of community experience during the day and overnight. Unsupervised lone working while maintaining high standards without guidance is second nature to me. Although I have worked in a variety of settings, I much prefer working on a one-to-one basis so my time is dedicated solely to you.
I am reliable and hardworking, and I am very clean and organised in all I do. I am a good timekeeper and very much a forward planner.
Over the years, I have achieved various qualifications, including NVQ Level 2 and 3 in Care, Level 3 Edexcel Certificate in End of Life Care, Level 3 Certificate in Supporting Care Practice, and an Adult Psychology Diploma, among a plethora of other courses pertaining to specific conditions and the safe use of various medical aids and equipment.
I am very approachable with a calm, easy-going character, and I have often been told I possess the patience of a saint. I am very empathetic by nature and understand the stresses, pressures and frustrations associated with caring for a loved one at home. I feel privileged to be welcomed into your home to support you or provide you with a much-needed break.
In my spare time, reading and researching various subjects is a significant pastime for me. More than anything, I love being in the garden, feeding the birds. I both feed and have hog houses for hedgehogs, and I volunteer as a driver for the local hog rescue. Some years, when time allows, I grow my own fruits and vegetables. I have three cats at home whom I spoil rotten! I adore animals, so if you have pets I can fuss over, that’s great! I enjoy walks in the countryside or around the lake; I love nature in general. I do not charge a short notice rate to clients I am already attending.

Excellent
Kimberley began working with my parents before my late Mum passed away from cancer. She was so understanding and caring in Mum’s final months and made her end of life so much more comfortable.Mum was reassured that she knew Dad,who has Vascular Dementia ,was in good, caring hands.Since Mum’s passing, Kim has continued to be Dad’s Carer and they have formed a great bond which is miraculous as dad has never been the most sociable of men but he really enjoys Kim’s visits and trips out.Kim is a star!

Excellent
Kimberley provides 2 hours of support to my mum each week helping with basic jobs and taking her shopping or to places she wants to go. Kim is very caring and goes the extra mile to make sure my mum is looked after. I live a long way from my parents and Kim’s provides me with the peace of mind and excellent care for my mum alongside the other support she receives.

Kimberley is a wonderfully kind carer. My father has Alzheimer's and she provides companionship care by taking him on day trips. He says 'Kimberley is smashing. We couldn't have wished for anyone better than her.'

Excellent
Right from the first meeting with Kimberly at my elderly mums house I just knew I would be able to rely on her to care for my mum who has dementia. Kimberly is highly professional in regards to her work with all the necessary qualifications to hand. Her wealth of experience shines through and nothing is too much trouble, she’s flexible, creative, caring and honest. I could not have found a more caring person for my mum than Kimberly- she’s just amazing ??⭐️

Excellent
Kimberley has been supporting my Dad for a few months now and has developed a very positive relationship with him. He looks forward to her visits which is saying something for someone who has been quite reluctant to accept support. Kimberley clearly has a good understanding of his needs relating to dementia and is respectful of the person he is. She is reliable and conscientious and is very good at keeping me informed of how things are going. I would not hesitate to recommend her.
