I love my work and making a difference in peoples lives. I have specialised in palliative care in the community for over ten years. I have worked with disabled adults, young children and teenagers which involved some autism, muscular dystrophy and other more complex / genetic conditions, some work in rehabilitation both physical and ex offenders with psychiatric conditions. I've worked for many years with the elderly including two years specialised EMI care. I have worked as a senior carer in many settings and also managed home care for a private firm for two years as a domiciliary care consultant. Palliative / elderly care is my main area of expertise, however I enjoy working with people of all ages, and work from a person centred approach. I cherish meeting so many people, and building relationships with them. I’ve been lucky enough to work with patients of a large age range, my youngest being 4 years old and my oldest being 103! I have worked through registered businesses also privately, in institutionalised settings as well as 15 years community experience during the day and over night, unsupervised lone working whilst maintaining high standards without guidance is second nature. Whilst I have worked in a variety of settings, I much prefer working on a 1-1 basis so my time is just for you. I am reliable and hard working, and I wont let you down on the last minute! I don't have many commitments outside of working therefore I can usually be quite flexible and make myself available on short notice. I am clean and organised in all I do, a good time keeper and very much a forward planner. Over the years I have achieved various qualifications including NVQ level 2 & 3 in Care, Level 3 Edexel Certificate in End Of Life Care, Level 3 Certificate in Supporting Care Practice, Adult Psychology Diploma, plus a plethora of other courses pertaining to specific conditions and safe use of various medical aids and equipment. I am very approachable with a calm easy going character, and the patience of a saint I have often been told. Very empathetic by nature and I understand the stresses, pressures and frustrations associated with caring for a loved one at home, I feel privileged to be welcomed into your home to allow me to support you or give you a much needed break. In my spare time reading and researching various subjects is a big pass time. I love being in the garden, feeding the birds, hedgehogs and squirrels as well as growing many things including growing my own fruits and vegetables. I have two cats at home who I spoil rotten! I would love to have a dog too but I work overnight sometimes, so if you have pets I can fuss over too thats great! I enjoy walks in the countryside or around the lake, I love nature in general. I do not charge a short notice rate to clients I am already attending.

Kimberley began working with my parents before my late Mum passed away from cancer. She was so understanding and caring in Mum’s final months and made her end of life so much more comfortable.Mum was reassured that she knew Dad,who has Vascular Dementia ,was in good, caring hands.Since Mum’s passing, Kim has continued to be Dad’s Carer and they have formed a great bond which is miraculous as dad has never been the most sociable of men but he really enjoys Kim’s visits and trips out.Kim is a star!

Kimberley provides 2 hours of support to my mum each week helping with basic jobs and taking her shopping or to places she wants to go. Kim is very caring and goes the extra mile to make sure my mum is looked after. I live a long way from my parents and Kim’s provides me with the peace of mind and excellent care for my mum alongside the other support she receives.

Kimberley is a wonderfully kind carer. My father has Alzheimer's and she provides companionship care by taking him on day trips. He says 'Kimberley is smashing. We couldn't have wished for anyone better than her.'

Right from the first meeting with Kimberly at my elderly mums house I just knew I would be able to rely on her to care for my mum who has dementia. Kimberly is highly professional in regards to her work with all the necessary qualifications to hand. Her wealth of experience shines through and nothing is too much trouble, she’s flexible, creative, caring and honest. I could not have found a more caring person for my mum than Kimberly- she’s just amazing ??⭐️

Kimberley has been supporting my Dad for a few months now and has developed a very positive relationship with him. He looks forward to her visits which is saying something for someone who has been quite reluctant to accept support. Kimberley clearly has a good understanding of his needs relating to dementia and is respectful of the person he is. She is reliable and conscientious and is very good at keeping me informed of how things are going. I would not hesitate to recommend her.
