During this time, I have learnt a tremendous amount and added to my skill set. I have cared for the elderly as well as individuals with special needs. I have particularly enjoyed working with older people as they share their history and life experiences, which I find fascinating. I like to clarify what my individual clients' needs are on a regular basis, as I find needs can change. I have experience in personal hygiene, incontinence issues, and general housekeeping. I have good communication skills and enjoy interactions with a variety of people with varying needs. I consider myself to be a practical person; I have learnt massage for relaxation, which has been of benefit to clients. I am warm, willing, reliable, and respectful. I respect boundaries and confidentiality. I am always willing to learn and embrace new challenges. In my own time, my interests include enjoying walks in nature and reading, although this can at times be challenging. I have a goldfish pond with seven adults and four babies whom I enjoy. I am the mother of two young men who are both at university, gaining their independence. I am blessed with the ability to tune into my clients' needs and wants. I have a passion for helping those in need, making a real difference in their lives. I have a good sense of humour.
