Since then have gained enough experiences and skills both here, and back in my home country. I was recruited here as a senior carer in 2002.
I have chose to work as a carer to give my services as I enjoy working in this field, having gained experiences I do believe I excel, always give my commitment and value everything I do. Secondly, I know that this will be a good opportunity for me to widen the scope of my practice, to learn more about people of various races, to improve my craft, be more productive, contribute for the betterment of my clients. I am focused, qualified, loyal and unassuming, respectful of other people's needs, flexible, honest, caring and trustworthy person.
I have worked with different people in hospitals, hospice, care homes, residential, nursing homes, in the communities and in supported living homes caring for people with learning difficulties. I started working as a live-in carer since 2014 and have 10 years of experience in this role. I cared for lovely ladies with different ailments like copd, stroke, heart disease and early stage of dementia.
I am passionate about what I do and will always strive to ensure care is delivered to a client regardless of age and identity with utmost respect and dignity. The vast experience of working as a Nurse/carer for 39yrs has made me great at my job and has given me greater understanding of how important and valued person-centred care is providing compassionate and informed care ultimately enhances the quality of being. I am always wanted back by previous placements/clients wherever I have worked.
I am available and happy to work any time
I would like to work within 75miles radius from HD1 but flexible to work anywhere else as long as travel expenses are covered. I am currently learning how to drive, but happy to accompany client for any appointments, day care centre, shopping, to the bank or visiting relatives and friends.
I am a Christian and would be happy to accompany client to church or another place of worship regardless of their faith if at all they practice their faith.
I enjoy watching tv, going for a walk, exercising, reading, listening to music, swimming and I enjoy spending sometime with my family, friends as well as church members in the community
My skills are excellent verbal communication, empathy, patience, thorough attention to detail, good customer service, work well under pressure, ability to work well with others, desire to help people, sensitivity and understanding.
