My responsibilities include helping clients maintain their independence and live in their own homes. Daily duties involve dressing, undressing, showering, body washing, bathing, brushing teeth, hair care, nail care, moving and handling, and housekeeping duties, including shopping, preparing meals, laundry, ironing, record keeping, attending doctors' appointments, administration of medication, companionship, and taking clients on social outings in the community.
Accomplishments: I have worked successfully with a wide range of individuals with various physical and mental needs. I have developed a good rapport with all my clients and their families. I enjoy being a carer/personal assistant; it gives me a sense of fulfilment, and I find it to be a rewarding career.
