In my line of work, I have always encountered individuals with diverse needs regarding their well-being. Listening to these individuals has inspired me to help them further, particularly in providing reassurance and building confidence.
I worked on a project called the Expert Patient Programme (EPP), which introduced me to people facing a variety of health issues and long-term conditions. This programme aimed to assist them in managing their conditions, making me a superb carer for many patients who have passed through my care.
One of the most fascinating clients I worked with for five years, who sadly passed away last month, had a rare condition known as Fibrodysplasia Ossificans Progressiva (FOP), a genetic connective tissue disorder. This client encouraged me to self-teach about the condition, which enhanced my caregiving skills and allowed me to bring more joy to their life.
I have completed courses in mental health and am well-equipped to care for individuals suffering from anxiety, depression, and similar issues. I have also worked with patients who have experienced strokes and early dementia, managing their care effectively.
I am passionate about my work, kind, and always strive to bring joy and happiness to my duties. I am experienced, confident, trustworthy, and possess strong communication skills. I maintain a listening ear for my clients and patients, providing them with emotional support. I am a self-motivated worker dedicated to my role.
Additionally, I have hands-on experience from in-house training on how to use Non-Invasive Ventilation (NIV), although I do not possess a certificate.
For live-out positions, I would prefer to work Monday to Friday. For live-in roles, I am available Friday to Monday for two weekends a month, as I am currently working with a client on the other two weekends. I am also happy to cover areas within approximately 30 to 40 miles.
For live-in positions, I would require a two-hour break, so the family or client would need to arrange cover during that time. Bank holidays are charged at double time.
Finally, I am a team player, a problem solver, and always eager to learn new skills.

Excellent
We had Marthe's assistance when my father was being looked after at home in a very serious medical condition. Marthe was such a relief to have in our home and provided compassionate and professional care when we desperately needed it. She helped dad and our family so much. I recommend her without reservation.

I’ve never needed care in my life but due to life circumstances I needed support urgently. Marthe made herself available and was very kind during the time and went beyond what was expected. Highly recommend her!

Marthe is wonderful: bright, energetic and fun.
Marthe started working with me as I was recovering from road accident injuries. She helped me in many ways to start living normally and gain my independence.
I highly recommend Marthe as a carer and PA.

Excellent
Marthe was only with my mother for a short while at the end of her life, but she was a calm, warm, and empathetic presence and helped give the family strength during a very difficult time. I would highly recommend Marthe to other families who are navigating the care system as she is exactly what we were hoping for in a carer.

Excellent
Marthe was sensitive, polite, respectful to my elderly mother, helping her with her needs and keeping her company. Her energy was always positive, upbeat and always responsive. She is a unique individual who is naturally very good at what she does and we are glad to have crossed paths with her on this website. I highly recommend her.

Excellent
Marthe was excellent. She was extremely responsive and accommodating, and always prompt for our appointments. I had one date that she was not able to help me with, and she was super helpful in finding and ensuring I had another good carer during that time. I felt like she cared a lot, and was committed to doing a good job.
