I have been a carer for about five years. I felt a strong desire during the Covid-19 pandemic to help and give back to the village where I live. I discovered that there was a shortage of carers, so I chose to volunteer in care support because I enjoy helping and caring for people. I loved the job so much that I decided to pursue a career in caring. I have worked in re-ablement care, where we look after clients who have recently returned home from hospital. We support these clients in regaining their health and fitness levels while providing care and assistance. I am also a domiciliary carer and have experience using most mobility aids. I like to make care enjoyable for my clients by ensuring that each day is different, taking them out and about to improve their quality of life. I also ensure that my clients eat fresh, healthy, and delicious meals every day. I love cooking and can prepare delightful meals. I encourage my clients to maintain as much independence as they would like and allow them to take control of situations, while I simply fill in the gaps. I am extremely flexible, understanding, and helpful, and I will ensure my clients have a good time with me. I am willing to take my clients out to enable them to have a fulfilling life.
