I am a hard-working, self-motivated, and responsible person with an outgoing personality and excellent communication skills. I enjoy meeting challenges and seeing things through to completion. I work well under pressure, both as a team member and on my own initiative. I can comfortably meet conflicting demands while remaining positive, flexible, and organised. I take full responsibility and ownership of my actions, and I always make decisions in the best possible interests of the company, never on a whim or personal preference.
I have worked in the care industry for over 12 years, and all my experience has been in the UK. My experience includes various care settings such as complex care in the community, residential care, nursing homes, support work, and working with young adults with learning difficulties and autism.
My main duties included providing personal care and house management, personalised care for each individual, PEG tubing, and maintaining cleanliness. I am skilled in safely attaching and removing stoma bags and monitoring any changes. I have experience using cough assists to provide controlled bursts of air to help break up mucus and secretion, as well as suctioning and respiratory support such as oxygen. I am proficient in using mobiliser systems to help with safe movement, non-invasive ventilation to assist with breathing, and maintaining cleanliness. I provide catheter care, monitoring for leaks or obstructions and taking appropriate action. I administer medication and monitor vital signs. I am experienced in using ceiling and manual hoists and sliding sheets for safe movement and handling, as well as food hygiene, preparation, and cooking nutritious and healthy meals. I manage care plans and support service users in attaining their personal goals. I maintain accurate records of clients' care and progress. I provide overnight support and assistance to clients with diverse needs, including the elderly with disabilities and those with mild to complex health conditions. I offer practical support, including shopping, financial assistance, and helping clients with their daily routines, such as taking them on outings, attending social events, engaging in leisure activities, and arranging holidays in the UK or abroad.
