Un...More I have worked in varied care settings such as carehomes, learning disabilities supported living, mental health care wards, and live in care jobs. Below is my previous duties and experience: 1. Assisted qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans 2. Undertook routine tasks and activities as directed to facilitate the wellbeing, dignity and treatment of all patients 3. Provided practical support and responsive care to patients who require assistance with intimate personal needs such as dressing, bathing and toileting activities ensuring that such activities comply with procedures and the relevant healthcare legislation 4. Observed and monitored the wellbeing of patients ensuring that any unusual physical, mental or emotional occurrences are promptly referred to senior staff/the primary nurse and documented as appropriate 5. Provided specific interventions with patients as delegated by a Registered Nurse, and following training and competency attainment. Such interventions include Observation and Engagement with Patients, escorting patients on leave, and being involved in de-escalation and management of violence and aggression. 6. Contributed to a team approach to patient care in conjunction with all members of the multidisciplinary team 7. Participated in regular ward meetings and attend other meetings as requested 8. Assisted in the maintenance of stock levels, including pharmaceutical products 9. Assisted in the maintenance of wards, living room area,home cleanliness and tidiness and adhere to infection control policy and procedures at all times 10. Developed and maintained a good professional relationship with patients, colleagues and visitors responding promptly and courteously to requests and enquiries 11. Promoted and maintain an environment conducive to meeting the needs of the patient / relatives and carers 12. Ensured service users are gaining a quality service that is value for their money 13. Received and conveyed information from telephone or personal enquiries in a courteous manner and ensure all persons visiting the ward are greeted and assisted in a welcoming and supportive manner. At the moment, I am currently studying towards Mental Health Nursing. I would like to contribute to my community by sharing my caring nature as this is in me naturally. During my spare time I like cooking and following different recipes on Pinterest or on YouTube. I always try new cooking new foods that I have not eaten before at the same time promoting healthier foods. I do test using lateral flow test kits for Covid twice a week to protect myself and those around me during the pandemic season.
