I am flexible on the shift pattern, ideally around 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off, or a variation of this.
I am also available for respite live-in care work and my bookings are filling up quickly, so please let me know soon if you need cover over Christmas or New Year. Recently, I have been caring for my mum, who has dementia, and supporting my daughter, who has recently had her first baby. Consequently, my availability has been limited. I now have more capacity for respite live-in care work or a regular shared position.
Please do message me to discuss this further. My rates for Bank Holidays are time and a half, while my usual rates apply on other days. I typically ask for assistance with fuel costs at approximately half the amount for journeys over 50 miles each way. Please look at my client references for validation of my work ethic.
I have over 35 years of experience in caring for people with different needs in a variety of settings. I have enjoyed respite care opportunities covering carers' breaks or providing extra care support needed as a transition from hospital back home. I also enjoy supporting individuals who need assistance to live an independent, fulfilling, and rich life. I have additional experience in palliative care support and appreciate the importance of patience, calmness, kindness, and flexibility. My primary aim has been to support individuals in remaining as comfortable and independent as possible at home, to enjoy life despite its challenges, and to ensure that family members are also listened to and feel equally supported in collaboratively caring for their loved ones. I worked for a company that supported service users with Parkinson's for 5 years, and I trained carers in understanding the particular needs of those living with this condition. I have supported people with dementia, anxiety and mental health issues, strokes, learning and physical disabilities, end-of-life care, and much more. For the past 12 years, I have been a self-employed carer working in the community.
Much of my work has come through personal recommendations. Recently, a client said of me, "You are irreplaceable; there is only one Helen!"
My care is of the highest standard and tailored to your needs. I would be happy to arrange a meeting with you to discuss this in person before agreeing on any shifts, should that be of help. Thank you for taking the time to view my profile. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me, and we can explore options together.

Helen is absolutely brilliant, she is caring and copes well with any eventuality. I felt one hundred per cent confident in leaving my husband in her care. A very capable lady.

Excellent
Would highly recommend Helen, she is hands down one of the best carers we had for my dear dad.
She came in to cover respite care, adapted amazingly to dad and her care was second to none. She’s a lovely, warm, caring, empathic lady who clearly has her clients needs at the forefront. Nothing was too much trouble and she was so calm in her approach.
Sadly for us she’s fully booked but we do hope Helen has space to come back sometime soon.
You will not be disappointed if you chose Helen ⭐️⭐️

Excellent
Helen looked after my farther-in-law at our wedding. She was reliable, kind, caring and efficient. She went about her duties.
We would definitely use Helen again.
