I have seven years experience as a carer and have learned how to promote dignity and independence in clients through my previous work. I understand that not all people have the same requirements and that everyone likes different approaches to the same activity. I'm personable, intuitive, efficient, and have a good understanding of how to make clients as comfortable as possible with every task. I enjoy figuring out the best approach to use when dealing with people who have dementia, I find it especially rewarding when I get a positive response with something. I also enjoy finding different ways of working if something doesn't work for clients, I'm adaptable and like making things easier for people. I'm an avid reader and also write in my spare time. I used to work in the hospitality industry for 15 years and was a relief manager for pubs and restaurants around South Wales.

    Addie has been and is such a great help to me in caring for my sister. She has a friendly no nonsense approach and has formed a strong bond allowing her to achieve a high standard of care in all circumstances. She handles everything in a calm manner and is cheerful throughout, achieving more than others are sometimes able to. She is always on time, always reliable and has a strong work ethic.
