I've also worked as a care coordinator, visiting clients in their own homes to assess their requirements.
Before becoming a care coordinator, I provided support to adults in their homes, assisting with personal care, medication management, domestic duties, catheter care, stoma care, and hoisting using manual hoists, ceiling hoists, and standing hoists. I have always worked in domiciliary settings.
I enjoy my job as I can go home knowing that I have made a difference to someone’s life, and I love helping people as much as I can.
In my spare time, I enjoy genealogy and have been tracing my family tree for over 30 years. I don't have a lot of spare time as I also have three cats and two dogs that keep me quite busy. Both my dogs are rescues: April, whom I have had since she was 18 months old, is now 14 years old, and Jack, whom I have only had since December 2023 as his owner passed away, is 10 years old. Jack sadly passed away in July 2024, but in October, I got a puppy named Bailey, who is just the cutest. I sometimes take Bailey to work with me.

Excellent
Very reliable, willing to learn about relatively complicated medical needs and adapt to things on a day by day basis based on health/capability. Great at communication regarding hours & prompt with booking/invoicing shifts. Understands the different nature of caring for a younger adult versus caring for the elderly. Have seen her regularly for about 5 months now 2x weekly. Very friendly and up for a chat which is nice.
