I have extensive experience as a carer and feel I have encountered most conditions people live with. I have worked for many years with agencies and have been in various settings, including hospitals, nursing homes, residential care, and private homes.
I have nearly nine years of experience as a live-in carer, during which I have looked after elderly individuals, some up to 104 years of age. I have also cared for couples. I possess very good communication skills, both in writing and verbally. I work well with other agencies if needed. I am observant and know when to call for help. I strive to make a difference in the lives of those I care for, which brings me great satisfaction. I enjoy cooking and feeding those who cannot manage on their own. I have a thirst for learning new things and provide good companionship, as well as being an active listener. I enjoy reading and watching films.
I hold an NVQ Level 3 and a Higher Certificate in Health and Social Care. I complete mandatory training as required.
