What began as a temporary role ended up becoming my passion and has been my most fulfilling and rewarding working role thus far in my life. It was a total revelation to me to discover that this role suited my personality and character so perfectly. Over the years I have worked both privately and through placement agency with clients that have had a wide range of health issues. However, my expertise and experience is within Brain Injury. Specifically challenging behaviour. I have been fortunate enough to work with some amazing and inspiring clients that have broadened my understanding of life beyond my imagination and its really fulfilling to know that I have made a difference to the quality of my clients lives and that of their extended families. I have often received recognition from my employers for my outstanding contribution to my clients. This encourages me to carry out my duties to a very high standard. During my career I have held the position of senior support worker and have also fulfilled the role of a nurse, eg; Medication administration, management of pressure sores, making and recording of observations etc. I’m familiar with charting fluid and food intake and observation of such activities. I have worked with pegs (gastrostomy’s) in the past as well. In my spare time I enjoy cooking and baking I love gardening and taking care of my husband and infant son. I have a keen sense of humour and so far, have adapted to any situation I’ve been presented with. I look forward to meeting future prospective clients... Aleks
