Understanding dementia with alzheimer's society

E6 2DU 16002 My name is Saima. I have been working as a teaching assistant for 5 years in India. After that, I did certain courses on social care and got opportunities to work as a social carer. Now I have been in this field from the last 2 years. I have expertise in handling patients with disabilities like autism, ADHD, special needs, learning difficulties etc. Furthermore, I have hands-on experience in handling patients with diabetes, peg feeds and tracheostomy. I have a firm belief from my past experiences on being able to pick new things, skills at a very quick pace and can adapt to any situation. I can also perform light housekeeping duties including cleaning and meal preparation. I have experience in assisting the client with bathing, clothing and feeding. My schedule is flexible. I usually prefer to work in night shifts and can travel up to 9 miles. However, if on some occasions day shift becomes a mandate, then I can travel up to a maximum of 4 miles. I always take any opportunity to work with love and care work to put a smile on someone's face.

Understanding dementia with alzheimer's society

IG11 8LG 14310 I am a Carer/Support Worker since 2012, as I became a volunteer with my local carers charity organisation, presented by my college PA as, I was enrolled for my Health and Social care course, I have been introduced to their borough clients. Their clients were mostly the elderly people, who needed help in their own homes. After a couple years, as, I really loved my job and people whom I care, my next step was to find a job in a particular field. 2015 I started work with a care agency, which brought a care for children and adults. Here, I worked, as a Male Support Worker. Also, I attended a lot of trainings. As, I worked for a couple agencies, my job was to assist to vulnerable clients in their homes. Stay in their homes and help people with personal care, to do shopping, to drive them to the medical appointments, or to their relatives. Help them in their everyday needs to feel more confident comfortable and as much independent, as they can. Also, I worked in London and other UK hospitals, Rehabilitation Centres and lodges. I hold Health and Social Care Levels 2&3. My hobbies: Reading, music, traveling, Church. Mostly, I like spent my time with my family, to listen to good music, watch positive programs and surf the net.

I am a self confident person who can manage to work easily under pressure, well organized and the most important: very caring with my clients. I grew up with my grand mother, so that's why I chosed to work in this kind of job. I am trying to be a care assistant that can make her clients happy and satisfied of my services provided, not only in written words, but rather in practice? I like to have full consultation with my clients before going ahead. This includes reviewing care plans, discussing schedules, finalising rates dependent on needs etc.
