I recently completed my Adult Nursing degree and I am a fully registered nurse with the NMC. Throughout my nursing education and clinical placements, I gained valuable experience caring for people across a range of medical, surgical, elderly care, gynaecology, cardiology, respiratory and acute medical settings. These experiences have helped me develop strong communication, observation, teamwork and clinical skills, as well as the ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations.
I understand that every person is different and that good care is not simply about meeting physical needs. I believe it is equally important to listen to people, understand their preferences, respect their choices and provide emotional support. I always aim to treat people with kindness, patience and dignity, while encouraging them to remain as independent as possible.
I also have experience providing support with daily activities, personal care, medication, nutrition, mobility and maintaining a safe and comfortable environment. I understand the importance of safeguarding, confidentiality, infection prevention, health and safety, accurate record keeping and recognising when concerns need to be escalated.
I am a good communicator and I work well both independently and as part of a wider team. I am comfortable supporting individuals who may be anxious, distressed, confused or reluctant to accept support. I believe in using reassurance, patience and a calm approach to build trust and develop positive relationships.
Most importantly, I genuinely care about the people I support. I believe everyone deserves to feel valued, listened to, respected and safe.
