I am always happy to go the extra mile to make my clients feel safe, respected, and at home. One example that means a great deal to me involved a wonderful 103 years old gentleman. After being admitted to hospital following an injury, he told the family that he wanted me to welcome him home. Although I had already planned a trip, I rearranged my plans so I could be there when he was discharged. He chose to remain in hospital for an extra week so that I could welcome him home and continue caring for him. Because of his age, he preferred to start his mornings slowly. We would often sit together quietly in his living room with a cup of tea, saying very little. We shared a natural understanding and enjoyed each other's company without needing many words. Those peaceful moments of quiet companionship were enough to make us both feel comfortable and content. They reminded me that good care is not always about conversation or activity—sometimes the greatest comfort comes from simply being there for someone. I have experience supporting clients living with dementia, Parkinson's disease, cancer, diabetes, reduced mobility, Lewy body dementia, urinary catheters, stoma care, and incontinence. I can assist with personal care for both men and women, medication administration, mobility support, companionship and cooking from scratch (particularly Mediterranean cuisine), shopping, attending appointments, housekeeping, and travelling with clients. Outside work, I enjoy travelling, exploring new places, walking, and hiking. I love meeting new people and adapting to new environments. I also love animals, especially cats, including those with special needs, and I am always happy to work in homes with pets. I speak English, Croatian, and Italian. I am a non-smoker and work in Cardiff and the surrounding areas, including Caerphilly, Newport, Swansea and Bristol. I am happy to support couples too.
