I have over three years of professional experience working in health and social care, including as a Healthcare Assistant and Senior Healthcare Assistant at Cambridge University Hospitals and as a Team Leader within a residential care home. These roles have given me extensive experience supporting people with a wide range of physical, cognitive, and emotional needs while always treating each person with dignity, kindness, and respect. I have supported older adults, people living with dementia, those receiving palliative and end-of-life care, individuals with reduced mobility, and people recovering from illness or injury. My clinical experience includes personal care, medication administration, recording observations, venepuncture, ECGs, infection prevention and control, risk assessments, moving and handling, documentation, and working closely with nurses, doctors, therapists, and families to provide safe, person-centred care. Alongside my healthcare career, I also work as a nanny and babysitter, caring for children from the age of two through to teenagers, including children with autism, ADHD, Down syndrome, learning disabilities, and mobility needs. Supporting both children and adults has strengthened my patience, adaptability, communication skills, and ability to build trusting relationships with people of all ages. If we were spending a day together, my priority would be helping you feel safe, comfortable, and as independent as possible while making the day enjoyable. Whether that means preparing meals together, going for a walk, attending appointments, enjoying a cup of tea and a chat, helping with personal care, doing some light housekeeping, or simply being there for companionship, I believe care should always be centred around the individual. Everyone has their own routines, preferences, and life story, and I enjoy taking the time to get to know the people I support so that care feels personal rather than routine. I am naturally calm, organised, and dependable, and I remain positive even in challenging situations. Families often describe me as compassionate, reliable, and someone who genuinely cares. I communicate openly, respect people's privacy and dignity, and always aim to create a warm, reassuring environment where people feel listened to, valued, and respected. Outside of work, I enjoy reading, cooking and baking, running, strength training, hiking, travelling, arts and crafts, learning new languages, and spending time outdoors. I enjoy encouraging people to stay active in ways that suit their interests and abilities, whether that's a gentle walk, gardening, visiting a local café, or simply enjoying good conversation. I believe emotional wellbeing and companionship are just as important as providing excellent practical care. I am available for live-in care, overnight care, and hourly care, and I am happy to support clients with companionship, personal care, respite care, and more complex care needs. My goal is always to provide compassionate, professional care that helps people maintain their independence, dignity, and quality of life while giving families complete peace of mind.
