I began my journey as a carer in 2003 and have never stopped. Even while training as a psychiatric nurse from 2018 and working full-time in the NHS, I continued to work as a live-in and part-time carer alongside my other commitments right through to January 2026. Caring is not just my profession; it is something I feel deeply called to do. My current rates is advertised for a HCA role, my rates may increase depending on the level of nursing skills required this will be discussed on an individual basics during the Curam meet call/video call with future clients. I am happy to travel throughout England and Wales as long as travelling expenses are covered both ways by my future clients. I am looking for regular long term clients working on a rotation of 3/4 weeks on and 1 week. I hold a BSc in Mental Health Nursing, a BSc in Health Promotion and a Diploma in Nursing. My clinical background means I bring a high level of knowledge and confidence when it comes to medication administration, mental health support, risk assessment and holistic care planning. I am skilled in supporting individuals with complex mental health needs, physical disabilities and age-related conditions, always putting the person at the centre of everything I do. What makes me a great carer is my ability to connect with people. A typical day with me begins with a warm greeting and a genuine check-in on how you are feeling. I assist with personal care such as washing, dressing and toileting while always maintaining dignity and privacy. I prepare nutritious meals, support with medication, and ensure the home environment is safe and comfortable. Beyond the practical tasks, I value companionship. I enjoy conversation, gentle walks, and simply being a reassuring and friendly presence throughout the day. I am a strong communicator and speak English, Swahili and Kinyarwanda fluently, along with several Ugandan languages including Luganda, Runyankore, Rukiga and Rutoro, which allows me to connect with clients from diverse backgrounds. I was also the co-founder and Secretary of Help Women and Orphans Organisation, a charity supporting ethnic minority women and children, which reflects my lifelong commitment to helping others. I hold a clean driving licence and am reliable, flexible and calm under pressure. I am available for live-in and flexible arrangements. If you are looking for a carer who brings warmth, professionalism and decades of real experience, I would love to hear from you.
