A typical day with me as a Carer would start by making sure the person I am supporting feels comfortable and has everything they need. This may include assisting with personal care, helping with dressing, preparing meals, administering or prompting medication, and supporting them with daily activities. Throughout the day, I would provide companionship, encourage independence where possible, and ensure they feel safe, valued, and respected. I am patient and attentive, and I understand that sometimes the most important part of caring is simply being there to listen and offer reassurance. I take pride in building positive relationships with the people I support and their families, while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality at all times. My goal as a Carer is not only to meet someone’s practical needs but also to help them enjoy their day, maintain their wellbeing, and live as independently and comfortably as possible.
