Throughout my career, I have remained passionate about providing high-quality, person-centred care and making a positive difference in people’s lives.
I am a caring, patient and understanding individual who always strives to go above and beyond to make someone’s day a little easier. I genuinely enjoy building meaningful relationships with the people I support, taking the time to get to know them, listening to their life stories and understanding what is important to them as individuals. I am organised, reliable and approachable, and I bring a positive, bubbly attitude to work each day. I take pride in building strong professional relationships with the people I support, their families and the wider team where appropriate.
I hold an NVQ in Health and Social Care and have extensive experience supporting individuals with a wide range of needs and diagnoses, including learning disabilities, autism, mental health conditions, dementia, physical health conditions, Motor Neurone Disease, diabetes, epilepsy, spinal cord injuries, behaviours of concern, sensory impairments and many other complex and long-term health conditions.
I am experienced in providing safe, compassionate and person-centred support tailored to each individual’s needs, preferences and routines. My skills include medication administration, including insulin, personal care, moving and assisting, meal preparation, cleaning, shopping, attending appointments and running errands to help individuals maintain their independence and quality of life.
I understand the importance of dignity, respect and promoting independence, and I always aim to provide support in a kind, professional and reassuring manner. I enjoy building positive relationships with the people I support, taking the time to understand their personalities, interests and life experiences to ensure they feel valued, comfortable and supported.
I hold a current enhanced DBS certificate with no previous convictions. My availability is Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm. I am a trusted micro provider through Stoke on Trent council, please see link attached for full details -
