I am a mental health support worker and also a clinical support worker, having worked across Mid and South Essex hospitals as well as in mental health settings for five years. I maintain patient dignity throughout personal and intimate care and offer compassionate and emotional support to patients and their families. I uphold confidentiality regarding patient information and conduct environmental checks to help service users gain the ability to function independently in society. I promote patient safety and report concerns about abuse or safeguarding. I observe and evaluate patients to detect changes in behaviour or abnormalities and establish and maintain working relationships with patients based on trust and non-judgement, while setting appropriate boundaries. I also handle non-clinical duties such as dressing, toileting, and feeding when the need arises. I am a patient, understanding, polite and caring individual, and I have confidence in my work ethic and practicality. I have completed five days of practical PMVA training, obtained my Care Certificate, and hold an NVQ Level 2 certificate. I have also undergone e-learning training in infection control, health and safety, first aid, moving and handling, induction autism learning disability, food hygiene, safeguarding adults and children, and confidentiality. I also have experience in the use of IT. I am currently looking for an additional 20 hours per week to work alongside my current job, where I have my rota one month in advance. I can work two sleeping nights per week or waking nights. During the day, I can offer a minimum of 3 to 4 hours in a single block.
