My background includes working as carers in Care Homes ,and healthcare assistant/support Volunteer in individual homes, Grays Court Care Home, as agency with West Minister Home Care and residential care facilities. Education and Training I have my GCSE / Equivalent in English and Maths, which gives me essential skills for working in healthcare. My English helps me communicate clearly with patients and co-workers, ensuring everyone understands each other for medication dosages and measurements, helping me keep accurate records. I completed all in one mandatory practical training on Cough Assist ventilation and Suction Training Together with my work experience, this course has deepened my understanding of effective practices in healthcare. I learned valuable skills in communication and teamwork, which are essential for delivering quality care. This has help strengthen my experience, For example, as a Care home carer, I applied moving and handling training using hoists, Sara Stedy, and slide sheets safely, and applied infection prevention measures when preparing meals and providing personal care. I am confident in my ability to following appropriate Medicines training building on my existing healthcare experience and commitment to patient safety. I’m motivated by the chance to help people in their recovery and improve their health. Knowing that I can make a difference in someone’s progress toward better strength and independence keeps me passionate about care. Even smile have an impact and positive healing on their journey, and that’s what drives me. I am particularly drawn to this role because of its focus on mission to inspire hope and provide unparalleled care for the people and communities Over the past year, I have spend time providing care and support to individuals; from adults and the elderly to children and young persons, who have complex healthcare needs from acute brain injury to multiple personality disorders and respect for rights of individuals service users. Through the 6C in health care sector Care, Compassion, Competence, Communication, Courage, and Commitment—I’ve seen how the support provide can make a real difference in the lives of individuals being care for , and ability to listen, communicate clearly and build positive working relations This position aligns with my experience providing one-to-one care, challenging behaviours, and working in different teams or unit to ensure patient safety and well-being. I am eager to contribute to the mission and vision of the growth and efficiency to the service given to individuals service users. I assist with daily routine in things such as personal care, meals and exercise mainly at the same times each day this give a sense of familiarity around what the day would hold. When I speak to the patient, I use clear language and tried my best to stay calm and reassuring. I also use non-verbal cues, human touch (holding service user’s hand or giving an intentional smile of reassurance that they are in safe hands and keeping eye contact to communicate some understanding as well. I assist with daily routine in things such as personal care, meals and exercise mainly at the same times each day this give a sense of familiarity around what the day would hold. I made use of reflect therapy to engage the patient long-term memory and increase mood, emotion wellbeing; this was something I did on an almost daily basis. Images, music and items are each from the patient's early life and they generally showed a positive response and reduced agitation. An example i care for a service user that love dancing in the past but have mental health challenge but she is so lovely when she is settled, as to keep her in settle state, after her personal care in the morning, she wil have her breakfast and medication I wil play the late 90”s music, she love to listen to music , we wil dance together, the dancing stand as an morning exercise after a while she wil watch movies and be nice all day. I also helped as necessary with more complicated activities of daily life, such as bathing and dressing, ensuring they were completed in a respectable manner. Managing Behavioral Challenges At times, the patient becomes agitated or disoriented, particularly during sundowning, which can cause increased confusion and anxiety in the late afternoon. I used redirection techniques, gently steering their attention to a calming activity, like listening to soft music participating in a simple task such as folding tissue roll to flower , she wil sit by side found what am doing interesting , it minimizing noise and dimming bright lights, also helped create a soothing atmosphere. Assisting with nutrition and hydration Frequently the patient forget to eat/drink, so I would help with meals and bring them in a calming manner instead of making it seem rushed. When it became too difficult for the patient to eat with utensils, we also transitioned to finger foods offered so they could continue feeding themselves. Supporting an Individual with Dementia and Bedbound needs I had the opportunity to support an individual with Dementia and Bedbound needs, As a care home carer, trained in moving and handling I helped her move to prevent falls and for safety. I assisted with transfers from bed to wheelchair and recliner armchair, ensuring that I used proper manual and ensure safety of individual, and helped with walking and ensure no falls occur. or minimize frustration and became less agitated during moments when they forget where they are. I observed the patient over time to watch for emotional collapse and offer support by being a cool, attentive listener. I also supported in administering the medications prescribed to ease those symptoms and made sure they were taken at their scheduled time and as specified by healthcare professionals. Collaboration, Communication, Teamwork I communicate well with patients, even those who find it hard to express themselves. I use visual aids and sign language to ensure they truly feel understood and supported. I keep families and healthcare professionals updated with clear, confidential information. I also communicate with the multidisciplinary team, including doctors, nurses, and occupational I’m updated to reflect their changing needs.
