I am all to familiar with the side effect of the treatment and I myself have lived with a Stoma for 5 years. I understand the pressure put upon family and friends and would like to share my own experiences to help others. I also nursed my Mother at home, who suffered multiple Strokes. I was assisted by the Penrith Nursing Hub. Consequently I am proficient at using a "Sara Steady", slide sheets and other aids. Being a Shared Life Carer is more than just a job. It's a way of supporting people to grow, thrive and achieve their personal goals through various methods of car and support. I am happy to provide long-term living arrangements, short breaks (respite), or daytime support As a Shared Lives Carer, I provide personalised care, support and accommodation to adults with disabilities or support needs by welcoming them into my own home. Fostering independence, help build social connections and offering companionship. * Providing a welcoming stable and family-orientated environment. * Assisting with daily tasks like coking, cleaning, managing money and persona care. * Helping individuals learn new skills, build confidence and make their own choices. * Supporting people to access community facilities, engage in hobbies and build friendships. * Fostering positive relationships and promoting a sense of belonging. Animals also play a huge part in by caring role. Animal-assisted therapy (AAT) improves patients' mental, physical and emotional health, reducing anxiety and depression and assisting rehabilitation. They have proved to help individuals with autism or behavioural issues develop empathy, trust and communication. If you have a passion for life, enjoy the great outdoors, nature and all things living. Good food and great living, then I am a match for you.
