Key responsibilities included:
Assisting with personal care such as washing, dressing, applying medicated creams, and carrying out all transfers using hoists.
Providing urinary catheter care, colostomy care, serving meals, and supporting clients with feeding needs, ensuring dietetic requirements (e.g., diabetes‑specific diets) were followed.
Working as part of a team, delivering double‑up care when required, and escalating issues or medical concerns to the Team Leader.
Closely monitoring residents, particularly those with known medical conditions or receiving end‑of‑life care.
Supporting clients with mobility, including the use of Zimmer frames and other walking aids.
Completing all relevant documentation, including daily records, food and fluid charts, repositioning charts, skin integrity monitoring, and sleep/wake records.
Supporting clients who exhibit challenging behaviour in a safe and person‑centred manner.
Encouraging and joining residents in social activities, including events such as karaoke, to promote engagement and well‑being.
