I believe in treating everyone with dignity, kindness and respect. I always tailor my care to each person's preferences, needs and routines. With over 25 years background in nursing and community health, I'm confident with personal care, grooming, medication prompting/administration, continence care, record-keeping and working within care plans. I am comfortable caring for clients with dementia, Parkinson's disease, stroke, Alzheimer's disease, post hospital discharge and in need of companionship. I am looking for clients with minimal/no mobility issues as I have restriction on moving and handling. My strengths include clear communication, attention to detail and ability to remain calm under pressure. I work well independently and as part of a team, always ensuring that people I support feel respected, safe and listened to. Reliability, professionalism and high quality care are at the centre of my practice. I like chatting, cooking and gardening. As a pin registered nurse I am trained and experience in catheter care, PEG and stoma care.
