I am passionate about delivering high-quality, person-centred care that supports individuals to maintain their dignity, independence, and comfort within their own homes.
In my current role within specialist palliative care, I provide holistic care to patients with complex needs, including symptom management, emotional support, and end-of-life care. I am experienced in supporting individuals and their families during sensitive and challenging times, ensuring care is delivered with empathy, respect, and professionalism. I am confident in building trusting relationships and adapting my approach to meet each individual’s unique needs.
Alongside my nursing role, I have extensive experience working in community settings, including my role as a personal assistant supporting a young person with additional needs. This has strengthened my ability to work independently, manage lone working responsibilities, and deliver flexible, responsive care in a home environment. I understand the importance of promoting independence, encouraging choice, and respecting individuals’ routines and preferences.
I have a strong background in supporting vulnerable individuals, including those with learning disabilities and complex health conditions. My experience has equipped me with excellent communication skills, patience, and the ability to respond calmly and effectively in a variety of situations. I am also confident in supporting personal care, medication management, mobility, and daily living activities while maintaining dignity and respect at all times.
I am reliable, organised, and committed to maintaining high standards of care. I understand the importance of safeguarding, confidentiality, and professional boundaries, and I always ensure that care is delivered safely and in line with best practice.
I am particularly drawn to working with Curam because of its focus on empowering carers and providing flexible, high-quality care that truly centres on the individual. I am motivated to make a positive difference in people’s lives by helping them remain safe, comfortable, and supported in their own homes.
