I use a person centered approach to get to know my clients and can build a trusting and respectful relationship with the people I support. I have worked with people with dementia, autism and learning disabilities and have some palliative care experience. I have gained skills as an all round Care Professional experienced in personal care, cooking, hygiene, toileting, hoisting and manual handling, cleaning, medication administration, adminstrative and household management. My experience working with children and young people developed my skills in advocacy, liaising with other professionals and working on an outcome basis to achieve goals. I started working in the care sector back in 2019 when I wanted to move away from the corporate world so I could make a difference in people's lives and support vulnerable people. Since then I have done a number of jobs that has helped me to develop my skills. I am driven to make positive change and support people to gain or keep their independence as much as possible. When I am not working I enjoy reading, watching TV series, cooking and having time with my animals, my cat and dog. I look forward to hearing from you if you feel I could be of support.
