Overtime, I realised that the most fulfilling part of my work is being able to follow patient’s progress closely and give consistent, compassionate care. This is why I am now moving into care from home job, to support people in their own homes, continue their recovery, and provide the comfort, dignity and the one to one attention they truly need. I have gained many clinical skills throughout my nursing career, but I believe the most important qualities in care come from within. Skills can be learned through training and experience but compassion, empathy and personal values are part of who you are. These are the qualities that guide me on how I care for people and make my support genuine, respectful and person-centred. Supporting someone in their own home is a value I grew up with as a Filipino, I used to look after my grandparents who has multiple health conditions and my mother before she died. This belief has shaped the way I work, and it’s why providing one to one care in a home settings feels natural and meaningful to me.

Noreen is an exceptional carer and nurse whose calm, confident approach was deeply reassuring. She cared for my 93-year-old father with advanced dementia with kindness, gentleness, and true professionalism. From the moment she arrived, we felt he was in the very best hands. Personally, she is warm and trustworthy. We cannot recommend her highly enough and would be delighted to speak personally with any family fortunate enough to hire her.
