I have specialist skills in caring for clients with various medical conditions and providing support in the comfort of their own homes. I have cared for clients with complex health needs and those requiring special care to manage progressive, life-limiting chronic illnesses such as dementia, Parkinson’s disease, stroke/TIA recovery, incontinence, PEG feeding management, postoperative care, COPD, stoma care, and more. From my experience, I have developed a compassionate and empathetic approach to caring for my clients, understanding the importance and value of supporting them through their situations to help them remain comfortably in their own homes. This allows them to continue living their lives as close to a normal routine as possible. I am happy to work at my clients' pace, following their lead. Recently, I cared for patients in rehabilitation following stroke/TIA with PEG feeding in situ, as well as patients discharged from hospital following surgery. I am kind, friendly, and very professional in my approach to caring for people. I enjoy assisting individuals with personal care needs as required, as well as helping with various tasks at their homes, including housekeeping, cleaning, shopping, etc., while ensuring clients are comfortable in their own homes as a live-in carer. I am open to live-in care as well as either short-term or long-term placements, and I also provide home care support following emergencies, such as post-surgery. I am a good cook and love trying out new recipes. I also enjoy gardening, going for long walks, and watching movies and football games. I am also able to look after children and pets. Please get in touch if you would like me to help you. I would love to hear from you. Thank you.

Jean was fantastic. She took the time to read the care plan, meet our client and family and adapted well into the placement. Our client hadn't had live in before and the daughter hadn't left them to take a holiday since their dementia diagnosis. Jean blended in, handled the couples needs and respected their choices and dignity. The family would love her back for their next break.

Jean has supported my wife, who has Lewy Body Dementia, for several months. She supported her in all elements of personal care, from toileting, showering, dressing and physical assistance. I found Jean to be a reliable time-keeper, she had empathy with my wife's often difficult temperament and always performed as a professional carer. I have no hesitation in recommending Jean to anyone needing a reliable carer.
