My insight into what it takes to be a carer was instilled in me at an early age when I used to go to the hospital during school holidays to volunteer.
In addition, I keep myself updated by holding current care certificate qualifications in Safeguarding Adults at Risk, Medication Awareness, Basic Life Support, Moving and Handling, Infection Control, Mental Capacity Act, and DOLS.
