I am patient, calm, compassionate and a good listener and enjoy working with others especially older people. I have worked with people with dementia, stroke, diabetes, stoma care, Cather care, depression care, and I have provided end of life care. I am experienced in person grooming and making the clients look their best while promoting independence and dignity. My insight into understanding what it takes to be a carer was moulded into me at an earlier age when I used to go hospital during school holidays to volunteer. In addition, I keep myself updated by having up to date care certificate Qualifications in safeguarding Adults at Risk. Medication Awareness, First Aid Basic Life Support, Moving and Handling, Infection Control, Mental Capacity Act and Dols. An extension of my communication traits is that I have a greater awareness of language and culture barriers that can be a hindrance to the holistic care of an individual under social services and healthcare.
