I am a reliable and hardworking person who consistently strives to work to the best of my ability. Regardless of the task at hand I take pride in my work and ensure that the results are both accurate and completed to the highest standard possible. Organisation is key to my life. I constantly seek opportunities to utilise effective task management skills. I am confident, driven and incredibly friendly with a wealth of experience and knowledge to offer. Nursing has consistently aligned with my career aspirations due to its focus on making a positive impact on healthcare. Observing healthcare professionals, particularly nurses, taking on the frontline role in saving lives and providing patient care fills me with a profound sense of fulfilment. With my placement experiences I had the opportunity to engage in a diverse range of roles that significantly influenced my decision to pursue a career as an adult nurse. I had the chance to build rapport with patients, assisting them and witnessing their progress. This experience instilled in me a profound sense of fulfilment recognising the rewarding nature of this profession. The opportunity to witness their recovery and contribute to their well-being filled me with pride as I had the privilege of making a positive impact on their health and quality of life. My experience in the acute admission ward provided an enriching opportunity to work with a diverse range of patients. The fast-paced environment challenged me to improve my time management skills, which proved invaluable. Additionally, I had the privilege of working in the community where I developed meaningful relationships with the residents. Engaging in activities and ensuring their inclusion in their care were essential components of my role. During my on going placements, I encountered challenging patient behaviours that required empathy and understanding. For example, I had a suicidal patient who became overwhelmed and expressed a desire to harm herself. Prioritising safety, I ensured that both myself and the patient were secure before approaching them. Maintaining composure, I utilised this opportunity to demonstrate my effective communication skills. By being attentive and empathetic, I was able to prevent the patient from causing harm. These placement experiences reinforced my determination to become an adult nurse. The support provided by experienced nurses and other healthcare professionals ensured that I acquired essential knowledge and skills. When caring for a patient, our role is multifaceted and not limited to the physical aspects of the individual. Medication administration is paramount. During medication dispensing, I will meticulously adhere to medication rights, including the right patient, drug, dosage, time, route and so on, to avoid errors that could be fatal if not executed accurately. Monitoring safeguarding issues and promptly escalating concerns is a fundamental aspect of providing high-quality care. I will diligently practice this discipline to ensure that I act in the best interests of my patients, safeguarding them from potential harm or maltreatment. Furthermore, I will adopt a person-centred care approach when caring for a patient. I will always prioritise the patient’s needs and ensure that I treat each individual as a unique person. This approach will enable me to tailor my care to meet the specific needs of each patient. I am available from 10am to 8pm My rates are advertised as a HCA, these rates may increase depending on the level on nursing care that is required. This can be discussed during the clients interview.
