I have experience with clients with dementia and extensive knowledge of other conditions and illnesses. I have a husband, three children, four grandchildren, two cats and two dogs. I love spending time with my family and enjoy keeping fit at gym classes, walking, eating out and going to the theatre. I ran the London Marathon in 2022 and Brighton Marathon last year which was daunting but once I put my mind to something I'm determined as knew I was being sponsored and raised money for a children's charity which is close to my heart. I am starting a counseling course next year as have realised my work as a private Carer has stood me in good stead as involves talking, reassuring and good listening skills and being a good support network for someone one to one. I keep in regular contact with my clients families as feel this is important for peace of mind for them. I'm kind and caring and passionate about my job. I'm friendly and positive and love to find out my clients life story and talk about their life and family. I'm a good listener and easy to get on with. I'm non judgmental and respectful of clients and their families and keep confidentiality. A typical day with me is enjoyable and filled with fun and positivity and support my clients to do things they enjoy whether it be accompanying them to the shops, having a tea and a chat, doing a jigsaw puzzle or doing things around the home to support clients live independently or going for a walk or to the library, whatever my client needs are then I'm happy to support in any way possible to make their life as comfortable and fulfilled as possible. I'm also happy to run errands and walk clients dogs. I look forward to meeting my new clients and families and working together to ensure personalised care is delivered.
