My experience as a carer equates to around 25 years, and is largely with the elderly with dementia. Although more recently includes palliative/end of life care. As a people person I am caring and compassionate, and someone who easily identifies with the needs of others. I come with excellent communication and organisational skills, always with a conscientious approach to the task in hand. Additionally, I am an enthusiastic, self-motivated and confident individual, who is also flexible, adaptable and hard-working. I have a continuous registration on the DBS update service, which ensures that my DBS is always current. (Please note that my rate of pay is inclusive of deductible agency fees). In my spare time i enjoy spending time with my family, and also my church family, swimming, country walks, music, eating out, reading and further education.

Sharon was an excellent carer for mum who has vascular dementia. Although Sharon was only caring for mum for a relatively short time she quickly became an important part of my mum's life. Sharon was so patient, kind and very calm with my mum and mum really enjoyed her time with her. Sharon also did that bit extra by doing any cleaning, tidying, washing that needed doing. However most importantly Sharon would sit and chat with mum, go for a walk and fill the once lonely moments in mum's life.
