I always treat people with respect and dignity and pride myself on being patient, calm, reliable, and a good listener. I have strong communication skills, which help me build trusting relationships with service users, families, and colleagues. I have 13 years’ experience working in care homes, supported living, and hospitals, providing person centred care such as companionship, meal preparation, medication support, mobility assistance, and emotional support. I also have a diploma in maternity nursing, I can work with new born babies as well. I enjoy working in care because it allows me to make a real difference in people’s lives and support them to maintain their independence and quality of life. Outside of work, I am a friendly and caring person who enjoys cooking and preparing home cooked meals, which often helps me connect well with others.
