I have also previously taught in further education, complementary therapies and am qualified in therapies, including infant massage, aromatherapy and reflexology. The benefits of light touch and connection appropriate to healing and nurturing has been widely researched with positive findings. I also initially trained as a hairdresser upon leaving school prior to working in therapies and charity and care sector. I enjoy spending time with clients and making them feel valued and supported. I like to help maintain independence for as long as possible and will meet the client where they are at to tailor care to suit. Care is individual to every person and very much dependent on their needs. I have moving & handling training and SVQ level 3 in social sciences as well as trauma informed training and counselling. I always make sure client is listened to and individual needs are met. I enjoy cooking, socialising and outdoors, hillwalking, love being out in nature in free time and love animals. I am available for daytime, evenings, nights and weekends. I have worked in domiciliary care in the private sector for the past 2 years and have gained lots of experience and insights, this coupled with my experience working with vulnerable families, children disabilities has given me good all round experience.
