**NOT AVAILABLE UNTIL APRIL 2027**
(Just had recent surgery and am not available to work for 6 months)
**About Me**
Hello, my name is Jade, and I am an experienced and compassionate healthcare professional with a strong background in nursing, hospital care, and residential care.
Originally from the Philippines, I have lived and worked in the UK for the past 19 years. I hold a **Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing** from the Philippines and am a qualified Registered Nurse. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of caring for people at different stages of their lives, including older individuals living with dementia, those recovering from illness or surgery, and those requiring additional support with their daily activities and personal care.
My approach to care is simple: **I treat every person I look after with the same dignity, respect, and kindness that I would want for my own family.**
**My Professional Experience**
I have five years of experience working in a nursing home, where I provided care and support to older people, including individuals living with dementia. This experience taught me the importance of patience, understanding, reassurance, and recognising that every individual has their own personality, needs, preferences, and routines.
In 2012, I also had the privilege of caring for my late mother-in-law for two years during a difficult period of illness, until she sadly passed away. This was a deeply personal experience that strengthened my understanding of what families go through when caring for someone they love. It also reinforced my belief that good care is not only about meeting physical needs, but also about providing **companionship, emotional support, reassurance, and dignity.**
In 2013, I joined the firm, where I worked for six years in an Orthopaedic Department. Working within the hospital environment gave me valuable experience caring for patients with a wide range of health needs and varying levels of mobility and independence.
During my NHS career, I completed extensive mandatory and specialist training required to maintain high standards of patient safety and care. Among these was Safe and Manual Handling training, where I was also trained as a Manual Handling Link Nurse within my department.
My hospital experience included providing and assisting with:
* Personal care and maintaining dignity
* Safe mobility and transfers
* Manual handling and positioning
* Assistance with toileting and continence needs
* Bedside care and comfort
* Feeding and supporting patients with meals
* Supporting patients with reduced mobility
* Maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment
* Observing patients and reporting concerns appropriately
* Working effectively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team
* Maintaining confidentiality and respecting patient privacy
**The Care I Provide**
For me, caring for someone is more than simply completing a list of tasks. It is about caring for the whole person.
I want the person I am supporting to feel **safe, respected, listened to, and valued** in their own home. I take the time to understand their routines, preferences, interests, and wishes, while encouraging as much independence as possible.
I understand how important it is for families to have someone they can trust. When you invite a carer into your home to support someone you love, you need to feel confident that your loved one is in safe, capable, and compassionate hands.
I take confidentiality very seriously and always respect the privacy, dignity, beliefs, choices, and personal wishes of the individuals I support.
**More Than Just Care**
I also believe that companionship and meaningful interaction can make a significant difference to someone's quality of life.
I enjoy cooking and baking, and I hold a Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate, so I am happy to prepare fresh, nutritious meals according to my clients' preferences and dietary requirements.
I also love singing and have found that music can be incredibly uplifting and therapeutic. I enjoy singing with and to the people I care for, particularly when it brings a smile, creates a happy memory, or simply makes someone's day a little brighter.
I am also an animal lover and am very comfortable around **dogs and cats.**
**My Values**
I consider myself to be a reliable, respectful, compassionate, and hardworking person with strong personal and professional values. I am able to remain calm under pressure and understand the importance of being dependable, particularly when families are placing their trust in me.
I am committed to providing care **without discrimination**, and I am very happy to support individuals and families regardless of their background, culture, race, or beliefs.
I am also fully insured, hold a **full UK driving licence, and have my own vehicle**, allowing me to provide reliable support within my local area.
My availability is flexible, particularly for clients who live locally.
**Why I Do What I Do**
After many years working in healthcare, I am proud of the experience and knowledge I have gained. But more importantly, I am grateful for the opportunity to use that experience to make a positive difference in people's lives.
For me, providing care is not simply a job. **It is my way of giving something back to the community.**
Whether someone needs practical support at home, assistance with personal care, companionship, help preparing meals, support with mobility, or simply a friendly and reassuring presence, I will always do my best to provide care with kindness, patience, dignity, and respect.
I would be honoured to support you or your loved one and to give your family the reassurance of knowing that they are being cared for by someone who genuinely cares.
**I am proud of what I do, I love helping people, and I believe that everyone deserves to be treated with dignity, compassion, and kindness.**
I look forward to the opportunity to work with you and your family.
