In my 7 years experience of working in the care sector I have had 5 years experience of working in a care home as a senior care assistant and for the last 2 years I have worked as a live in carer working mainly with dementia and elderly clients. Live in care is the area that I wish to continue with as I enjoy the one to one care with clients, it allows me to get to know the clients needs and deliver the person centred care I enjoy delivering. I am looking for long term clients where I can work on a rota of either 3/4 weeks on 1/2 weeks off within a travelling distance of 100 miles of my location in Erith, as long as travelling expenses are covered both ways by my future clients. When I start with a new client I prefer to have a settling in period of 1/2 weeks after this I am happy to discuss with client/clients family members the period of care I can safely deliver. When delivering live in care I prefer to have my 2 hour break each day and I can be flexible on when this can be taken. I enjoy cooking for my clients, when I start with a new client I sit and discuss with them what they enjoy eating and then I cook according to their requests and medical requirements. I have a clean driving licence and I am happy to drive clients cars as long as they are automatic. On my weeks off from live in I am looking for regular clients longer days of 6/12 hours or sleeping nights.
