I am a warm, approachable, and compassionate carer with over 12 years’ experience. I have supported people in their own homes, in NHS hospitals and in a Care Home. I have experience assisting individuals with a wide range of health needs, both physical and mental health conditions. Families know me as reliable, patient and kind, with a calm nature that helps those I care for feel comfortable and respected. I am frequently complimented of my bubbly personality. Caring for others is something I find truly rewarding. I enjoy getting to know each person as an individual, listening to their stories, and supporting them to live as independently and happily as possible. Over the years, I have gained wide experience, from providing companionship and personal care to supporting people with dementia and administering medication safely. I worked my way from frontline care into management, most recently as Deputy Manager of a residential care home specialising in dementia. I hold both a Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social care and a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management in Adult Care. My skills also include care planning, risk assessment, and the safe use of equipment such as hoists and stand aids. Above all, I pride myself on delivering person-centred care that always promotes dignity, respect, and trust. Outside of my caring role, I am very family-oriented and enjoy spending quality time with my partner and two young children, as well as catching up with friends and going on long walks. I enjoy cooking and baking. I look forward in hearing from you!
