Subseq...More After caring for a relative with early to late stage dementia for over five years, I felt that I would like to continue in the care sector. I met many carers over the years and realised this was something I truly wanted to pursue. I applied for a domiciliary position, which I greatly enjoyed. Subsequently, I learned about a young adult with autism and learning difficulties, whom I have been supporting for almost three years. I hold up-to-date certificates and a full care certificate. I am friendly, caring and compassionate. I have good communication skills, and I have been told that I am a very good listener. I take a person-centred approach, striving to learn as much as I can about my clients to ensure they feel comfortable. I am more than happy to assist with personal care, housework, shopping, and meal preparation. I am also an animal lover.
