    Before working as a carer I took care of my mom during her last year of life. She was diabetic and her right leg was amputated due to complications related to diabetes and she suffered memory loss, disorientation and sometimes very vivid hallucinations due to poor blood flow to her brain, also related to diabetes. I also took care of my sister, she has VHI and had had a few periods of very poor health, with pneumonia, malnutrition and general weakness. Since I started being a live-in carer I've worked with different stages of dementia, dementia induced by alcohol, Alzheimer's and also with clients that had mobility issues or were bed bound. I'm very patient and understanding, a good cook and a good listener. I like listening to music, watching films, or TV and going out for a walk to the park or in the countryside. I like cycling and swimming but I don't always have the opportunity to practice so I try to do some pilates or just stretching when I'm not able to swim, cycle or walk. I like people and animals and get along well with everyone. I don't take things to heart so I'm usually relaxed and happy.
