I am avaliable to provide care on a day/ night and live in care (short time) I am trained in dementia care, movi...More I have been a carer for just over 8 years and have enjoyed providing assistance when and where required My aim is to ensure clients in my care are as happy and comfortable as possible. I am avaliable to provide care on a day/ night and live in care (short time) I am trained in dementia care, moving and handling, first aid, end off life, oral health care, safeguarding, wound care, hazard risk, the mental capacity act, cosh, equality diversity and inclusion and medication managment. My first job I worked at was a care home caring for residents who sufferd dementia and there were those who were bed bound and also end off life I stayed there for 7 months then decided to work in domacillary. I really enjoyed it going around from home to home caring for those in their own homes. After that i signed up for an agency and worked there in nursing homes as and when im required. I have also ( in that time ) been a live in carer which I also love to do as the one on one interaction is somthing I find very inportant and not only for myself but to know that the clients I care for are very happy content and they feel safe I am a very kind caring compasionate person who can be silly and have a funny sense off humour but also serious and profesional when needed to be. I am a very good listener and love to hear all about the clients should they wish to talk about their lives or any worries and conerns they may have My hobbies include crafts ( although so far i have only got around to watching programmmes about crafts ) but im very keen on any crafts and learning. I love gardening, walking, watching movies, documentaries, gardening programmes and wildlife and spending alot off time with my famiy. I also love to cook and can cook a wide range off foods. I don't drive at the moment but hoping to get that sorted when I can I am also a smoker thank you

Sarah has been professional, tactful to other carers and generally popular with the other people here.She stepped into the breach to look after my 96 year old mother who needs professional and personal support for moving and for general care. Sarah is a very welcome addition to the team.
