I am a professional and compassionate carer with over ten years of hands-on experience providing high-quality support to both adults and children with a wide range of needs, including learning disabilities, autism, dementia, mental health challenges, epilepsy, visual and hearing impairments, and physical disabilities. My career has spanned various care environments—including care homes, community-based care, and residential settings—giving me a strong, adaptable foundation in delivering person-centred support.
I am currently employed by the Council as a Residential Support Worker, where I support children with complex needs in a safe, nurturing environment. My responsibilities include helping the young people build life skills, manage emotional and behavioural challenges, and develop independence, while ensuring their welfare and safeguarding are always a top priority.
Before this role, I worked as a Support Worker with The Rock London UK Limited, where I supported adults with dementia, autism, epilepsy, physical disabilities, visual impairments, and other complex health needs. These experiences gave me the opportunity to develop a strong understanding of individualised care, communication techniques for people with sensory needs, and how to manage challenging behaviour with empathy and professionalism.
My qualifications include:
• NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care
• NVQ Level 3 in Adult Care
• Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare( RQF)
I am also trained in key areas such as Medication Administration, Safeguarding Adults and Children, Manual Handling, First Aid, Epilepsy Awareness, Autism Awareness, and Health and Safety.
As a carer, I bring kindness, patience, and consistency to my role. I am a natural communicator, a good listener, and always ready to provide emotional reassurance and practical support. I pride myself on building trusting relationships with both the individuals I care for and my colleagues, contributing to a supportive and professional team environment.
My passion lies in helping vulnerable people live with dignity, independence, and joy—whether that means supporting a child through emotional regulation, or ensuring an elderly adult feels safe and valued. I remain committed to my professional growth and am always looking for ways to improve the lives of those in my care.
I am currently seeking opportunities in live-in care, daytime hourly care, waking night, and sleep-in night roles. I am eager to apply my skills and extensive experience to support vulnerable individuals, helping them maintain their independence and quality of life in the comfort of their homes and within their communities.
