I have been working in care (including care homes/NHS and private hospitals) for over 14 years and in this time I adopted and developed a wide range of supporting skills which I am confident will be instrumental in producing high quality care for the patients under my care. I have experience working in mental health ward as well as general wards (as part of my nurse training). Work Experience I am a registered general nurse who qualified in March 2018. In my career journey so far I have been working with the nursing team and working as part of the multidisciplinary healthcare team in delivering care to patients. This includes delivering person centred care based on evidence; this is by assessment, planning, implementation & evaluate the care needs of patients as well maintaining regular clinical audits/ Records keeping. Furthermore, before I enrolled to do my nursing, I was working as a support worker. I was working in different hospital settings. In my role as a support worker, I was involve in implementing individual patient care by assisting Registered nurses to assess, plan and evaluate patient care. I had to be aware of the psychological, social, physical and spiritual needs of all the patients and inform the Nurse in Charge of any changes in the patients’ physical/psychological condition or any other significant factors relevant to the patient. Moreover, I actively participated in the rehabilitation of patients and escorting patients under the direction of the Nurse in Charge. In addition, I was involved in hands on care that involved assisting with personal hygiene, dietary requirements as well as care planning for other various patient’s needs. This was demonstrated by showing compassion, listening attentively to service users and effectively communicating service users’ needs. INTERESTS AND ACTIVITIES I like exercising, as I like to keep fit. I also enjoy reading and spending time with friends and family. Skills and Qualities: I can communicate effectively as I am able to adapt to the varying communication needs of service users. I gained the courage to work with large teams and within challenging environments. I am caring, cooperative and committed to make a difference for ill people. I strive to deliver ‘High quality Care’ to patient under my care.
