Over the years, I have enrolled onto e-learning courses on Safeguarding, Health and Safety in the workplace and Safeguarding Children and vulnerable adults from abuse and exploitation. I am aware of the best practices to promote Equality & Diversity in caregiving. I understand that I have to take into account of the rights of all individuals and groups and have always considered this in my dealings with clients (both adults and children). I always strive to ensure that I treat everyone the same irrespective of race, gender, sexual orientation, transgender, religion, belief or age. All this has been reinforced by the courses on Equality & Diversity that I have attended in the past. I am aware and understand fully the current issues insocial care in general, as stipulated by the QCS. I strive to implement these rules in my caregiving activities and working with people in general. In all the roles I have filled, I have a good strong presence and have formed good working relationships with everyone. I am a dedicated carer/educator/trainer and strive to do the best I can in a professional manner. I am always keen to respond to feedback and take on board strategies to improve my working and learning. Having worked in quite a number of organisations I respond well to and uphold the ethos of different organisational settings. I have enthusiastically participated in professional development, departmental meetings and training and have always been willing to share good practice with peers. I also have good administrative skills which are reinforced by my strong MS Office Skills. I am able to work efficiently with the team in ensuring the good maintenance of all necessary administrative documents, current and past. KEY SKILLS Catheter Care; Incontinence; Parkinson’s Disease; Stroke; Physical Disabilities; Diabetes; Multiple Sclerosis; Visual & Hearing Impairments; Epilepsy; Dementia; Checking temperature, blood pressure and blood sugar levels. I currently looking for a regular live in client within a maximum travelling distance of 2 hours from my area in Dunstable, as long as travelling expenses are covered both ways by my future clients. When delivering live in care I prefer to have my 2 hour break each day but I can be flexible on when this is taken to fit around cover of care for the client. On my 2 weeks down time from live in, I am looking for regular clients to deliver either 3/4 waking or sleeping nights within a 5 mile radius of my area in Dunstable.
