As a senior caseworker, I have supported adults with learning disabilities and autism, always ensuring that service users are at the heart of my work. By partnering with them, I foster strong, respectful service user-professional relationships. Empowering the adults I support, I strive to help them achieve their personal goals or simply enjoy their day. I am seeking live-in positions within a hundred-mile radius of my location, with an initial settling-in period of 1–2 weeks. I’m open to discussing longer-term arrangements in the future. Skills and Practical Support Offered: Can cook well, including traditional roast dinners, Confident in meal planning and ordering food online for delivery, Willing to undertake general housekeeping tasks including: Laundry (though ironing is not my strength), Cleaning kitchens and bathrooms, Basic housecleaning, including hoovering, Comfortable caring for small, non-aggressive dogs, Not suited to working around aggressive pets, I hold a clean driving licence and am confident driving both manual and automatic cars. While I do not currently have a personal vehicle, I am happy to travel to placements using public transport. For longer-term roles, I would be willing to drive the client’s or family’s car if I am added to the insurance policy. As a social butterfly, I enjoy encouraging clients to engage in activities and community life where appropriate. My rates are negotiable depending on the client's needs. I stay up to date with my COVID and flu vaccinations to ensure the safety of myself and those I care for.
