In addition to residential care homes for clients with severe challenging behaviour and learning disabilities/mental health care needs, nursing care homes for the elderly, independent living for specialised care needs, palliative care (for end of life care) and for elderly clients who require care within their own homes amongst many other care capacities.
I am a very caring, attentive, compassionate and friendly carer currently specialising in overnight care at this time. As this allows me to offer continuous support, safety and assurance to my clients to sustain a comfortable night during the most vulnerable hours. However, I maybe open to a select few hourly (day) care opportunities that offer a suitable amount of hours on a consistent long-term basis that meets my interest.
I am currently working for an NHS hospital trust specialising in post-stroke care and therefore am looking to combine my existing job alongside this self-employment platform with either 1 or 2 suitable clients for overnight care.
In addition to my wide depth of experience in my existing NHS job and the course of my career in the nursing sector. I have had the opportunity to work alongside many physio’s and have also assisted patients in various mobility exercises to aid in their recovery and as a general practice in my own approach to the care I deliver.
I am always encouraging individuals to participate in various exercises as often as they can to strengthen their affected side or weakness in their body to help them restore their confidence and independence.
I also have a genuine passion to make a difference in the lives of my clients and anyone I’ve had the privilege to attend to in my career both on a personal & professional level.
My experience has equipped me with a wide depth of skills, knowledge and experience needed to provide a high quality standard of care, and a thorough working knowledge of care legislation, that encompasses all aspects of my role from personal care to assisting in various household chores, cooking and meal preparations, administering medicine, record keeping & assisting clients with companionship.
With years of experience in supporting individuals with mild to severe cognitive impairment, Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, Parkinson’s disease, diabetes, MS, various cancers, visual and hearing impairments, anxiety, depression, and those who are bed-bound amongst many more conditions.
I bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to my role. While I may not be able to drive or possess a car, my dedication to providing exceptional care remains unwavering.
My motivation for pursuing a career in care stemmed from my parents who were both dual-qualified nurses. I find joy in engaging with my clients to ensure that they feel valued and supported throughout our time together.
Beyond my professional skills, I am an individual who enjoys spending time with friends and loved ones, walking, exercising, DIY, reading, watching tv, movies, cooking & baking, board/card games and puzzles.
