Hi, my name is John;
I have over 15 year experience in the care industry. I am a compassionate male home carer with a wealth of experience in providing care to individuals with various conditions such as Mild Cognitive Impairment, Parkinson's disease, Depression, Cancer, Dementia, Obsessive compulsive disorder, Alzheimer's disease, Incontinence, Arthritis, Stroke, Physical Disability, Confusion, Anxiety, Autism, and Learning Disability.
I bring a unique set of skills to the table, including Light housework, Bathing & personal grooming, Medication reminders and Administering medication if required, helping with mobility, Meal preparation, Toilet & continence care, Trips out of the house, running errands, Help keeping active, Hair cutting, Shaving, Companionship, Urostomy bag care, Colostomy bag care. I have used… Ceiling hoist, Mobile hoists, Wheelchair, Portable overhead (gantry) hoists. I take great pride in my ability to help those in need maintain their independence and dignity.
Having the ability to drive and access to a car, I am well-equipped to provide transportation and support to clients who may need assistance with running errands or attending medical appointments.
Outside of my caregiving role, I enjoy engaging in hobbies such as walking, card games, cooking, decorating, and gardening. These activities not only provide me with relaxation and fulfilment but also serve as a means to bond with the individuals under my care. Known for my caring nature, friendly demeanour, and helpful attitude, I am driven by the desire to make a positive impact in the lives of those I care for. I take immense satisfaction in knowing that my presence contributes to my clients' well-being and allows them to lead more independent lives.
With a love for animals, particularly cats, dogs, fish, rabbits, and birds; I am committed to creating a nurturing and supportive environment for both my clients and their beloved pets.
My achievements so far in my career, I am a qualified phlebotomist, Health care assistant, Care support worker, Risk assessor, and through this I was able to work in the following care settings. Hospitals, Nursing homes, Residential homes, Hostel, and the community in peoples own homes. This has given me a wide range of different experiences, and learning knowledge about the importance of personal centre care, and how everybody is entitled to have good quality care provided.
I am quite comfortable in supporting both men and women. I have worked with women client’s in the community on behalf of the NHS, and in the Hospitals, Residential homes, and Nursing homes.
My working hours are very flexible.
